I grew up in a small town called North Smithfield RI;    I attended   one room school house for my first year of school that is now an historical building and museum.  A Second school grades 1-3 now a police station and a 3rd school grades 4th through 6th and finally Jr. Sr High grades 8th through 12th.

The nice thing about growing up in a small town was going through 12 years of school with the same classmates.

Through the 12 years of school I never heard the words born again Christian as I grew up Roman Catholic and attended St John’s Catholic Church where I made my first communion and confirmation.

I joined the Army and completed my training as a cannon crewman and later finished my service in the RI National guard as a field cook.

I first heard the words born again Christian from my cousin Albert.  Albert tried to take me down the Roman road to salvation but being a Roman Catholic my eyes were closed to the seeds and watering my cousin was doing in Christ name.

I moved to California in 1989 and starting working at a restoration company for very little pay and had stopped attending Catholic Church.

To make a long story short for 16 years I did not attend church after leaving RI.  I started listening to Skip Hietzig of Calvary Chapel during my ride to work.

Skip said a remark about Catholics going through other mediators other than Christ and it caught my attention and offended me , but this caused me to listen  everyday in order to try and find something wrong with Him ,   but because Skip was speaking God’s truth I could not find anything wrong.

This caused me to think about going back to church; I tried a couple of Catholic churches in the high Desert but did not attend regularly.

I still had a deep feeling of loneliness and an empty feeling inside of me and I could feel God calling me back to church and as I Ignored the call it became stronger.

I was getting gas one day and looking in plain view was a stack of church bulletins, I picked one up and it was a bulletin from Calvary Chapel of Hesperia.

I made a commitment to attend the next coming Sunday, and when that morning came I was sweating and felt like clawing the walls as I was leaving the door not wanting to go , but because I made the commitment I went.

That same Sunday I went up during the altar call and gave my life to God through Jesus.   I felt the weight of loneliness lifted and my eyes were open to the truth.   That night when I went home to what would normally be a dark depressing house was full of Joy as the spirit of God now filled me up and My life would never be the same.

I attended Hesperia Calvary for 5 years before being called to Adelanto to meet my future wife Elizabeth who at that time was serving in the street witnessing ministry as well as the children’s’ Ministry.

I had no reason to leave Hesperia Calvary, however God had other plans , I married Elizabeth and have been enjoying God’s blessings in my life ever since I gave my life to him on July 4th 2004

Thank you God for the Mercy and Grace I found in you through your Son Jesus Christ.
